DALLAS BUSINESS JOURNAL – April 2026 – Within the next decade, a fast-growing city about 20 miles east of downtown Dallas could see its population climb to nearly 70,000 residents. Forney Economic Development Director Mike Grace said the city issued 272 residential permits last year and has already issued 117 in 2026, just four months into the year.
